Role : Database Administrator (DBA)

Responsibilities:

- Provide Level-I, Level-II database support for Sybase environment globally using Follow-The-Sun support model

- Will be part of Sybase team to provide 12x7 support.

- On-site hours: 6:30 am - 6:30 pm.

- On-site weekend support using 5-day flexible week

Requirements:

To strengthen Lehman Database Services the candidate will join Sybase DBA team to support Sybase database environment globally (US, UK and Asia)

The individual is expected to have :

- 2-6 years of Sybase administration experience. Oracle/UDB/MS-SQLserver administration experience is a plus.

- Good understanding of RDBMS concepts, Database design etc

- Good troubleshooting and problem solving skills.

- Proficient in navigating and utilizing unix/linux environment.

- Knowledge of Unix Shell scripts and Perl scripts.

- Experience in Replication technology (Sybase, UDB, Oracle or MS_SQLServer) a plus.

- Flexible in working hours. Result oriented and good dedication.

Other Skills :

- Excellent communication skills in English

- Strong interpersonal skills

- Good analytical skills
