In this position, you will be creating elements of physical chip design. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Responsible for block-level custom or cell-based-design
- Performing layout verification activities in including Design Rule Checking (DRC) and/or Layer versus schematic (LVS), and verifying that the design meets project methodologies
- Responsible for Functional Unit Block (FUB) and perhaps cluster-level integration activities such as preparing box-level layout for timing, reliability, and noise verification and meeting chip-level physical integration
- Supporting activities at all phases of the physical design development including parasitic extraction, static timing, wire load models, clock generation, custom polygon editing, schematic-driven layout, and verification
- Troubleshooting design issues and applying proactive intervention
- Working with engineers on scheduling, execution and verification of complex designs
- Responsible for the solid execution of project methodologies and/or flow development

Desired Profile
You must possess a technical certification or a technical degree with at least one to two years of experience in Mask Designing. Additional qualifications include:
- Proficiency in multiple levels of layout design which includes data path, register files, and standard cell designs
- Proficiency in floor planning activities which include FUB-unit level assembly, routing, and integration of custom blocks in to the FC floorplan
- Ability to comprehend issues of RC delay, electro-migration, self-heating, and cross capacitance
- Ability to recognize failure prone layout structures, and proactively contact engineers for guidance and produce electrically robust layout
