Be part of a leading edge DSP systems team at QUALCOMM developing DSP firmware in C/assembly for speech, audio, video and other multimedia applications on QUALCOMM DSPs.
Skills/Experience Good academic record
Proven professional track record & ability to deliver (preferably from reputed organizations)
Good knowledge of DSP theory or multimedia applications with strong understanding of at least one of the domains (speech/audio/video/modems)
May not have exactly multimedia DSP experience, but should have the capability to adapt to multimedia
Knowledge of assembly programming, fixed point issues, DSP processor architectures, DSP tool chain
Good understanding of C / Matlab and the ability to develop high level source (Csim) for assembly implementation
Knowledge of RTOS is a plus
Good implementation capabilities to deliver an end to end solution
Ability to visualize issues at system level and some cross-disciplinary knowledge/experience
Additional Skills Additional desirable skills include the following:
  • Real time programming experience or operating systems exposure
  • Experience with developing algorithms in Matlab or C
  • Customer support experience

    Education Requirements Masters in Electrical Engineering with emphasis in signal processing or communications; or equivalent.
    Rigorous course work in Digital Signal Processing desirable.
    Exposure to microprocessors and computer architecture desirable.

    This position will be located in Hyderabad, India. A local compensation package will be offered.
