(Oracle DBA with HP UX, Linux & Windows
Oracle 10g/9i/8i RDBMS Database Administration with Oracle 9i/10g AS (application Server)
(Oracle Certification is Must).
Knowledge of SQL Server Desired.
(2 to 4 years) experience providing database administration services in the following environments - Oracle 9i/8i/8/7.x Databases on HA configuration using 9i/10g (RAC Desirable) on various hardware like XP 512, EVA and EMC Disk Arrays – require comprehensive knowledge, along with extensive and varied experience in these technical areas:
• Backup and recovery
• Database instance creation
• Monitoring and tuning of database and application SQL
• Provision and capacity planning for adequate database storage.
• Security and integrity of database environment.
• Perform updates, patch installation and audits
• Administration of Oracle Names, Enterprise Management, and recovery catalog databases
• Execution and monitoring of database utilities and scripts.
• Experience in disaster recovery
• Oracle Replication, Oracle Partitioning, and Oracle Names
• Knowledge of SQLNET, INET, ODBC, TCP/IP
• Oracle RMAN Scripting in Perl, csh, ksh, sh and sqlplus
• Extensive experience in configuration and administration of hot standby/Managed standby databases.
• Ability to perform installations, software upgrades, and apply patches.
• Supporting production clustering experience required (Active Active – RAC), OPFS
or MCSG
