Position:Software Engineer / Senior Software Engineer
Department / Location:
DSS Software Logistics Center (DSS SLC), SLI (Bangalore)
Department Description:
Development System Services (DSS) is responsible for the planning, setup and operation of SAP's internal application development landscapes.
The Software Logistics Center (SLC) of DSS provides excellent Software Logistics Services for SAP internal development landscapes:
• Consulting for all kind of Software Logistics related topics
• Planning, Configuration & Operation of Infrastructure for Software Production
• Delivery of ABAP & JAVA Software to SAP's internal development - maintenance and quality systems
• Transport Layer Configuration in Development Landscapes & Administration
Required Skills:
Minimum 1 year of experience in SAP BASIS
Experience in SAP Netweaver & SAP J2EE Administration
Expertise in Change & Transport Management
Familiar with R/3 System Upgrades & Kernel Upgrades
Familiar with Landscapes Administration & Transport Activities
BASIS Expertise – User Management, Background Job Processing, Client Administration, Support Packs, etc
Exposure to scripting (SHELL/PERL)
Exposure to OS & DB Administration will be an added advantage
ABAP/JAVA Programming Skills would be a plus
Operating Systems - Windows & UNIX
Databases – ORACLE, MS SQL, etc

SAP J2EE Application Server Installation & Upgrades
