Description
In this position, you will be responsible for the prototyping, development and validation of NAND controllers and modules in various products (for example cache controllers, USB* mass storage, Solid State Drives). Responsibilities may include hardware and firmware and/or software required for controller prototyping with FPGAs, module and/or system validation, design margin analysis, system software and/or embedded firmware development, test planning and execution, PCB schematics capture and layout.
Qualifications
You must possess a Bachelor's or a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related discipline. Additional qualifications include:
- Solid understanding of digital microelectronics, logic design and verification
- Solid understanding of firmware and/or software for embedded systems
- Good communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills
- Motivated, self-directed and able to work effectively both independently and in a team
- Good planning and documentation skills
- Experience with a hardware description language [for example VHSIC Hardware Description Language (VHDL), Verilog*]
- Experience with logic simulation tools (for example Modelsim*, NC-Sim*, VCS*)
- Experience with Field Programmable Gate-Array (FPGA) design and verification (for example Xilinx ISE*, Xilinx EDK*)
- Experience with firmware and/or software development (for example C and/or C++, GCC, Visual C++, Python*, MySQL and/or MS-SQL and/or MS-Access)
- Experience with Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) schematics capture and layout (For example Cadence* Allegro*)
