Job Description
Support production, test and development databases
Day to day DBA tasks such as:
Installation and configuration of Oracle software
Startup/shutdown of database servers
Backup/recovery of databases
Creating/deleting databases
Security administration (creating users and giving/removing access to databases)
Storage management
Database monitoring
Database and SQL tuning
Troubleshooting
Network configuration
Create and maintain ERD
Provide technical support to clients for database-related issues
Assist internal departments with all database issues
Desired Profile Responsible for supporting multiple databases, overseeing the highest quality of the databases, and supporting several development groups.
Physical Database Handling
Creating, Moving and MOnitoring the Databases
Behavioral Competencies
* Must be very flexible and team-oriented
* Superior verbal and written communications skills required
* Must be Flexible to work in different Shift timings
Technical Skills
Minimum of three years of Oracle DBA experience
Customer service orientation
Must be able to establish effective working relationships with a diverse group of people
Experience in defining and implementing database tuning, backup and recovery, and high availability strategies
Extensive knowledge in database administration, configuring and tuning Oracle databases in a UNIX environment
Ability to write UNIX scripts for DBA task automation
Experience 2 - 5 Years
