Job Description
Responsible for Monitoring / sustenance of Security Products / Security technology areas such as Firewalls /IDS.
Should have knowledge on network security concepts of FIREWALL (Checkpoint) and
Experience in any of the network security devices.
Responsible for handling first level incidents / Basic trouble shoot of incidents using KBASE and do necessary escalations to problem team.
As Technical Support engineer you are responsible for owning and overseeing the resolution of all outstanding Incidents.
Escalation to Line Managers and specialist teams should be done based on stipulated timeframes.
Particularly note Incidents that move between different specialist support groups.
Monitoring of security incidents using Monitoring consoles.
Desired Profile
* Should be working knowledge on Firewall concepts or have hands on experience in configuration of PIX and checkpoint firewall.
* Should be conversant with Firewall Log Monitoring and debugging concepts.
* Minimum desired certification: CCNA or CCSA or pix.
