Description
In this position, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining computer-based systems to meet business requirements. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Analyzing, designing, constructing, training, and implementing application systems
- Documenting decisions, adhering to standards and communicating with business groups
- Providing standards and/or guidelines for development, responding to customer and/or client requests or events as they occur
- Developing solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment
- Owning physical data design, mapping, designing and developing solutions in ETL space, trouble shooting, problem analysis and resolution coding, testing and implementation of complex ETL processes in Teradata and/or SAP* BI environments
- Working with customers and stakeholders to understand requirements, working with data modelers, BA's and front end and/or back end developers and experience in root cause analysis to ensure problems are properly resolved
- Moving to SAP* BI areas in the medium term
- Accountable for ETL deliverables of high quality and business values, meeting specifications. ETL deliverables include L1, L2, L3 loading and setting up Autotsys cycles
- Responsible for ETL code pass scorecarding, code review governed by ETL governance
- Liaising with SA, TILs to deliver ETL solutions
- Liaising with source (ROO) and destination systems
- Owning and maintaining eMART data integrity (upload data model, mapping document)
- Designing and/or resolving data modeling, security issues with data modeler and DBA
- Authoring Technical Functional Specs in ETL focus (with partner SA) and gaining Buyoff
- Owning OCM entries within their respective areas
- Providing updates to project leads (milestone traction)
- Driving closure to key opens during SDLC
- Authoring and executing Unit Test Plans and/or Specs
- Supporting Functional and/or Integrated testing, production stabilization
- Authoring SLAs, trouble shooting documentation, training consultation, transition to KTBR
- Responsible for the flawless code migration
Qualifications
You should possess a BE and/or Bachelor or a Master of Technology and/or graduate in Computer Science and/or Engineering or an M.C.A. from a good Indian Institute.
Additional qualifications include:
- Exposure to programming languages, RDBMS, data modeling
- SQL* skills, a broad understanding of data warehousing concepts and technologies
