About Talent Strategies

Talent Strategies – helping companies identify, recruit, develop and retain the right performers – is one of the most important growth areas within Deloitte’s Organization and Change Practice Consulting Practice.
To support Deloitte’s work on Talent Strategies, the Hyderabad location has formed a Talent Center of Excellence (CoE) that will serve as a global resource providing research and analysis on talent issues: macro-economic trends in the labor market and current thinking about talent issues.
This role is for a person to lead the Talent CoE, working with consulting leaders around the world to grow consulting involvement in addressing clients’ talent and human capital concerns as part of Deloitte’s leadership in the talent area.
As leader of the Talent CoE, you will help set its agenda of research and analysis as well as identifying its staff. You will conduct fact-based research, by gathering, organizing and synthesizing information to develop key insights around macro-level labor statistical trends and monitoring a variety of publications and forums to capture the most current thinking on talent issues. This work will be applied at leading clients around the world.
You will play a key role in delivery of client engagements in the Talent Strategies & Solutions area, with work being done both remotely from India and on client sites when appropriate.
Typical roles you would be expected to play would include:
• Steer and guide the research objectives of the Talent CoE
• Research and provide macro-level demographic trends both globally and regionally
• Provide real time updates of talent research and points of view both globally and regionally posted in external press
• Develop presentations and point of views to present the research work of the Talent CoE
• Play the role of a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for relevant internal and external client engagements
• Establish a working group with the Advanced Quantitative Solutions (AQS) Group within Deloitte to develop a joint offering based on Talent COE research and their predictive modeling capabilities
• Assist client executives and Deloitte organizations in identifying and fulfilling their talent-related information and research needs, develop and recommend talent management solutions in both micro trends (e.g., workforce strategies, competency modeling, succession planning, skills assessment, and performance management; develop learning and development programs, leadership development, etc.) and macro trends (e.g., labor markets, unemployment, education, population, education, health etc.).
In the medium to long term, this role will position you for management roles in our India operations.


Qualifications
Successful candidates will possess the following characteristics:
• MBA from Reputed B-Schools / Masters and/or Doctorate (PhD) in Economics, Mass Communication, Research Methods, Statistics, Human Resources, Business Administration, International Relation
• At least 6 years of experience as an established qualitative researcher
• Extensive experience with qualitative and quantitative research on HR, Human Capital, Talent, economics, labor, development economics, econometrics or trend regression analysis.
• High quality research as evidenced by peer-reviewed publications, a history of independent research undertaken in a public, private or corporate sector environment, and successful grant and contract support
• Experience as principal or lead writer / author of publications
• Ideally a published author
• Excellent qualitative analysis skills and presentation abilities
• Strong management and supervisory skills
• Strong coaching skills (trained younger researchers / analysts)
• History of multi-disciplinary collaboration with diverse disciplines (with other researchers or clients)
• Experience with Atlas.ti or other qualitative analysis software.
• Possess an MBA, masters or doctorate in economics, statistics, HR, business policies, government policy, development economics, social or behavioral sciences
• Possess strong network in the education and research industries
