How to Apply:
Responsibilities: • Understanding of how to Support a Mission Critical production environment.
• Monitor the production, test and development environments based on the attached checklist and report any discrepancies to our
• Perform end-of-day processing jobs as per the instructions given in production environment. Review system/application logs closely to validate successful completion of these jobs and follow escalation procedure to repot and resolve any issues.
• Monitor and oversee the completion of daily backups
• Perform and monitor restores as requested
• While performing the above checks, also report on any trends or events that would not be considered “normal” and follow escalation procedure accordingly.
• Interface with internal teams and/or clients to resolve system and operational issues.
• Review, write, implement and maintain system and operations documentation.
• Write and run simple shell scripts or SQL scripts as need
Requirements:
Experience with Solaris and Windows system commands to be able to perform the above tasks.
Experience with SQL (Sybase preferably) commands
