Engineering Manager – Video
Location – Noida
Position Summary
An Engineering Manager will have the complete responsibility, from planning to shipment. EM will be responsible for building and leading a team of development engineers to deliver the product. EM will be responsible for steering the direction of the product, feature development, architectural improvements, performance enhancements and everything else that would be required to make a top class Desktop product.EM will work directly with Product Managers and determine and prioritize features, create and manage detailed schedules and development tasks to delivery high-quality products on time; promote and practice iterative/agile product development techniques including time bound monthly milestones, peer code reviews etc. The EM will be responsible for quality and performance metrics.
Experience and Skills
• B.Tech/M.Tech in CS/EE position from a premier institute.
• Must have 6-8 years of experience in a C/C++ Software development organization with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity. (Software Product development experience is preferred)
• Knowledge of application development in Video, Multimedia or Graphics area is desired.
• Working knowledge and experience in the area of MPEG/DVD authoring will be a definite plus.
• Should have excellent computer science fundamentals and a good understanding of architecture, design, performance.
• Experience with cross platform development on Windows and Macintosh.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be familiar with working in a fast paced global environment. Should have a demonstrated track record of leading and coaching young energetic teams and working closely with other peer managers
